When traveling long distances in an off-road vehicle or Land Rover Defender, you already have a space problem. Storing the bulky sand trays in or on the vehicle is not so easy. In the vehicle, the sand trays with a length of approx. 120 to 150 cm would take up valuable storage space. The best position for sand trays is always on the side of the vehicle. There are several reasons for this: firstly, easy access when recovering the vehicle, and secondly, the foldable brackets allow the sand trays to be used as storage space for gas stoves, drinks, tools and much more.
Weight also plays a role with sand tray holders
Many sand tray holders on the market are extremely oversized. 4 mm steel is not uncommon. This creates unnecessary weight on the long-distance vehicle. ENGAGE4X4 sand tray holders are made of high-quality 1.5 mm V2A stainless steel and can easily withstand sand trays weighing up to 18 kg.
The lock of the foldable sand tray holders is protected from dust and weathering by a UV-resistant MDPE cover cap. This reliably prevents the lock from failing. Several holes are provided in the hinged sand tray brackets for mounting the countless sand trays in order to be able to attach the sand trays as flexibly as possible.
Attachments of sand plate brackets on the Defender
Especially on the Land Rover Defender, the sand plate holders are attached to airline rails with a distance of approximately 500 mm. It is also possible to attach the sand plate brackets to Land Rover Defenders with an outer cage. Using the ENGAGE4X4 Cage Carrier System for Safety Devices outer cages, the foldable sand plate holders can be easily mounted on the cage. The sand plate holders can be used with the new adapter for the ENGAGE4X4 SFJC (Super Flat Jerry Can) canisters and can hold flat fuel canisters or water canisters instead of sand plates.
