The original suspension of the Land Rover Defender quickly reaches its limits under higher loads, such as on long journeys with heavy loads or when towing a trailer. The problem here is not necessarily the suspension springs, but rather the undersized shock absorbers. Not everyone likes a suspension lift and at the same time the handling characteristics of the Defender, Discovery 1 or Range Rover Classic with the original suspension are not to everyone's taste. We took this as an opportunity to develop a damper that absorbs more load and at the same time significantly improves the driving characteristics under higher loads in the long term.
The combination of the original suspension often reaches its limits with small load differences. Most of the Defender suspensions on the market are with suspension lift. The length of the shock absorbers is usually adapted to the height-adjustable suspension and therefore cannot be used for the standard springs.
The ENGAGE4X4 high-performance shock absorbers for the original suspension
We have developed a high-performance shock absorber for all Defenders that is perfectly matched to the original springs. The driving behavior and handling change significantly. The car can be moved more safely. Especially Land Rover Defenders with roof racks or Defender 130s, which are often driven with different loads, have serious problems here.

The ENGAGE4X4 high-performance shock absorbers Step1 for the Land Rover Defender (Discovery 1 and RRC) have been developed for high loads and extreme requirements. The high-performance shock absorbers are designed to be 80% stronger than conventional shock absorbers.
