Cardan shafts from ENGAGE4X4 are manufactured in Germany and are only made with OE parts to ensure a long service life. All cardan shafts have been tested, developed and continuously improved by us over many years. The universal joints are significantly stronger than the original standard joints.

ENGAGE4 Defender wide-angle cardan shaft for high durability off-road

The ENGAGE4X4 cardan shafts are designed for very heavy loads in off-road operation. The sliding piece of this Defender cardan shaft is protected against the ingress of dirty water by a radial shaft seal. The reinforced universal joints are equipped with special PU thrust washers (high-performance seal) in accordance with construction machinery standards. The universal joints can be lubricated centrally.

The shaft works stress-free at an angle of up to 30° with a high degree of entanglement. ENGAGE4X4 wide-angle cardan shafts are a great advantage for Defenders with a low chassis lift of max. 20 mm and a higher axle articulation. This means that the universal joints are not overstressed when the suspension is extended. Since 2014, the sliding piece with over 110 mm length compensation can be lubricated on all shafts. The grease nipple is protected from tearing off by a metal ring. This means that the shaft can still be maintained even after extreme off-road use.
