ENGAGE4X4 Door Handle Protectors for Land Rover Defender
The ENGAGE4X4 door handle protectors have been specially developed for the Land Rover Defender and offer effective protection for one of the vehicle's best-known weak points. Standard plastic door handles are particularly susceptible to damage from branches, trees or hard obstacles such as earth and clay walls when off-road.
Protecting the door handle and outer door skin in off-road use
In demanding off-road use, lateral forces often act directly on the door handle area. The ENGAGE4X4 door handle protectors not only reliably protect the door handle itself, but also the surrounding door skin from mechanical damage.
Functional principle and force distribution
The large-area, form-fit support of the protectors means that the force applied is not transferred to the door handle at specific points, but is distributed to the door's sturdy stiles. This reduces deformation of the outer door skin and effectively prevents the standard plastic door handles from tearing off.
Mechanical protection without restricting vehicle function
The door handle protectors are designed as a passive protective element. The operation of the door handles is fully retained and there are no restrictions in daily use or off-road use.
Material and surface coating
The ENGAGE4X4 door handle protectors are made of high-strength S355 grade steel and are designed for long-term use in demanding conditions.
Corrosion protection and durability
The surface is galvanized and additionally coated with a resistant EPS powder coating. This combination offers a high level of protection against corrosion, stone chipping and external environmental influences such as moisture, mud or road salt.
Installation on the front doors of the Land Rover Defender
The ENGAGE4X4 door handle protectors are fitted precisely to the front doors of the Land Rover Defender. The required mounting material is included in the scope of delivery.
